I’m a 20 year old college student in New Jersey studying Cultural Anthropology and Spanish. I’m pretty easy to get along with, and pretty understanding, too. I can be moody, but I’m pretty lovable. I am at my happiest on those rare days where I have no responsibilities and I can stay in and watch random movies without a care in the world. A few things I can’t put up with: utter stupidity and people who are rude inconsiderate of others.
"I'd made myself believe that I was fine and happy and fulfilled on my own without the love of anyone else. Being in love was like China; you knew it was there, and no doubt it was very interesting, and some people went there, but I never would. I'd spend all my life without ever going to China, but it wouldn't matter because there was the rest of the world to visit."-Philip Pullman
“Love is the thing, you know. And I’ve got mine right here and I’m bringing it to me all day long.”- Sex in the City.
Isabelle: It's a shame you're not a girl. Xavier: The world is badly made. -L'Auberge Espagnole
“Adventure is a path. Real adventure - self-determined, self-motivated, often risky - forces you to have firsthand encounters with the world. The world the way it is, not the way you imagine it. Your body will collide with the earth and you will bear witness. In this way you will be compelled to grapple with the limitless kindness and bottomless cruelty of humankind - and perhaps realize that you yourself are capable of both. This will change you. Nothing will ever again be black-and-white.” - Mark Jenkins
"There is nothing so strange in a strange land as the stranger who comes to visit it."
"Our child going off alone...oh, darling, what if something happened to you?" "Oh, mother, what if nothing did???" -Rome Adventure
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God; your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." -Nelson Mandela
"Whatever an education is, it should make you a unique individual, not a conformist: it should furnish you with an original spirit with which to tackle the big challenges; it should allow you to find values which will be your road map through life; it should make you spiritually rich, a person who loves whatever you are doing, wherever you are, whomever you are with; it should teach you what is important, how to live and how to die."-John Taylor Gatto
